I am a bass player by trade and I've recently got back into buying pedals again. I've got a nice small set up at the moment but I do eventually want to have an unnecessarily large collection of pedals.
What does everyone dig?
My current favourite toy is a Source Audio Soundblox 2 Dimension reverb. Its power and scope is absolutely humungous as demonstrated here:

My bass setup varies, but the constants are Korg Pitchblack (for the tuning) and Boss ODB3 (for the filth). Ocassionally I'll throw in a Boss OC3 (for the octaves), but that's only for a few bars of one song Wokrin Man do live. Currently messing around with a new setup to split my signal into a clean and distorted path running independently. Will report back once there's a conclusion on that.

I've been looking at doing that for my new band but have had no real experience of it.

So, you'll need a pedal (or cheap channel splitter from Maplins) which can split your signal in 2 and one which will re-join them. In the past I used my verbzilla to re-join them, but this was unsatisfactory as the distorted signal was hard to balance without a volume adjust. Didn't work for me, but worth a go if you have the pedal capabilities. HOWEVER, I bought a mixer, which is perfect.

Still need to find the time to research this/get a splitter or mixer and then try it. Recommendations for a splitter/mixer?
