Basically, I've considered becoming vegan for years (I was quite a 'strict' vegetarian for almost seven years) Does anyone have any tips on leading a healthy vegan lifestyle or any good articles to read?
Kinda irrelevant, but I'm trying to bulk up (like, lifting mad weights and shit) but if I were to become vegan, what are some good sources of protein so I can keep a high protein diet?

I worked alongside a trained dietician for a while and she suggested that tofu and green veg were my main go-to's for what I'd miss out on calcium and vitamins wise. Protein wise, beans! Chickpeas! I run a fair amount and I find my intake of protein from beans and chickpeas as part of a main meal (e.g. Bean chilli, chickpea curry) is adequate to keep my muscles repaired and ready to go, but I'm not sure how this stacks up from a mad weights perspective.

I've been a vegetarian for all of my nearly 20 years of life, but I love cheese too much to be vegan. Not helpful, just felt like saying.

Yeah, I think I could quite easily become a vegetarian again, but my love of eggs will always make the transition to vegan hard a shit.

Does anyone take any Vitamin supplements? I try to avoid Vitamin supplements, but I do take a daily B vitamin supplement as I don't really want anaemia, nervous system damage or for my liver to explode, and Vitamin C effervescents in the winter months/when I'm feeling ill.

I've started taking a multi vitamin once a day. I've heard vitamin B12 deficiency can be a problem for vegetarians/vegans so I figured it's better to be safe than sorry. Plus the effervescent stuff is tasty.

Went vegan a month ago and it's going well so far. Feel much better, healthier, happier, for doing so. Made the switch from being vegetarian for my whole life and a straight up cheese lover to veganism and haven't felt like i'd actually eat it again once.

and if your more bothered about satisfying your taste buds you shouldn't even be considering becoming vegan... That's a pretty unfair and unfounded statement to make. There are plenty of fantastic recipes out there which don't rely upon animal products. Personally, I've become a far more adventurous cook since going vegan. I see the lack of animal products in my meals as an opportunity to try the hundreds of other foods out there that I would never have tried had I stayed so stuck in my meat and cheese eating ways.

I agree, the best sandwich I've ever had was a tofu and watercress sandwich from a swanky New York vegan restaurant.

hold up with the tastebuds thing. i've been vegan pretty much my whole life. with periods on and off because im a fucking douche.
but besides the point. the things you eat when you are vegan have more flavour in them than anything processed which could ever pass your tantalising little lips.
my tips are this
take a multivitamin supplement. don't just take b12 because you need to up other things , unless you are incredibly meticulous with your diet, and most people aren't .if you go into holland and barrett they do quite a few specifically for vegans. also make sure you get plenty of flax seed . it's good for you and you can buy it in packs and sprinkle it on everything. try seitan or tempeh rather that tofu, because a lot of the time tofu tastes fucking bullshit unless you marinate it in something.
rice milk is sweet. also chocolate oat milk is fucking amazing as well. also try and make a latte with almond milk . oh and stay true. if anyone gives you shit about being a vegan chokeslam them through a glass table.
